Is your Vizual Personnel data calculating properly?

Most Personnel Manager users have been using the software for over 10 years (at least) but are still not aware of some of the functionality it provides to help you manage your Personnel data or why it doesn’t always do what you would expect.

A good example of this is relating to the recalculating of your data. Depending on which version of Personnel Manager you are using, it will likely try to recalculate your databases each morning when you log into the software. Often customers cancel this recalculation process as it can take several minutes to complete depending on how many employees you have.

If the recalculation process is not run each day you will find that some of the calculated fields (shown as Yellow fields) do not show the correct information. A good example of where this can be seen is with the employees age. This will not increase each day unless the Recalculation process is run.

for those using older versions of Personnel Manager you may need to manually run the Recalculation tool. This can be done by choosing the Recalculate option from the File Drop down menu as shown in the screen shot below:

This will display the Recalculate tool where you can select to recalculate all screens or an individual screen.

The time it takes to complete this process will depend on how many employees you have and it can take several minutes to relcalculate the data.
