Case-study: National Retailer upgrades their Vizual Personnel Director Software
Our latest Vizual Personnel Director Upgrade is for a large organisation based in the Lake District have over 2000 employees at over 50 sites across the UK and have been a customer for over 20 years.
In 2012 they decided to upgrade their existing Vizual Personnel Director software to People Inc. as they were concerned with its compatibility with more recent versions of Microsoft Windows, Office and SQL server and had concerns about security and the potential for data loss.
They were also looking for more functionality so they could efficiently manage Recruitment and track full career histories for their employees. They also wanted to be able to generate contracts of employment as and when they updated the organisations terms and conditions and attach these directly to the employees record.
More detailed and accurate reporting was essential and rely heavily on key reports such as the Headcount Check report to manage their constantly growing workforce.
The upgrade process involved migrating all of their existing data along with many custom screens we had developed for them whilst using Vizual Personnel Director.
As part of the upgrade we provided a suite of reports that enabled them to easily monitor staff turnover at each of their stores as well as a customised workflow wizard that helped reduce the time consuming administrative effort associated with Recruitment. This wizard not only allowed them to bulk update the status of a selection of applicants but also automatically generated an appropriate letter that could be sent to them.
We also developed a Record Deletion wizard that allowed them to delete Employee and/or Applicant data older than 6 years in accordance with their data protection policy.
